Research-informed programs for women over 40, grounded in biology, psychology, and the systems that shape our habits.

II'm Dr. Andrea Grayson (EdD), a health communications researcher and faculty member in the University of Vermont's Master of Public Health program. I wrote The Sweet Tooth Dilemma and developed the 7 Factors of Sugar Dependency and The 8 Roles of Alcohol frameworks. My own path out of sugar and alcohol habits is why I work on both. I help women in midlife understand what is driving a pattern, then change it with structure rather than willpower.

“The Sweet Tooth Dilemma is required reading for anyone who has ever wanted to feel better and be healthier. This book thoughtfully breaks down the how and why of our contemporary society’s addiction to sugar, dispels harmful sugar myths, and offers an empowering guide to quitting sugar long term and without
deprivation. Don’t quit sugar without it!”
— Eve O. Schaub, author of
Year of No Sugar

“I read this book in one sitting and loved how well written it is and how many topics are covered. She gives really good tips and solutions to get off the sugar rollercoaster and experience real freedom in a way that is personalized and sustainable for you. If you think you might be addicted to sugar or feel like you have an unhealthy relationship with sugar, this is the book for you!”
— Siobhan Harris, Founder of Unsweetened Sio

“This was a real wake-up call to the amount of sugar in our food. I did not think of myself as a sugar addict but I was surprised by how much sugar is in the foods I eat that I consider healthy (Go Lean cereal, Chobani fruit yogurt, fruit and nut granola bars). This one month challenge was a great way to make changes I plan on keeping.”
— Ellen L., Program Participant

“Andrea goes through the physiology behind addiction in an uncomplicated way, allowing one to understand how we got here and how we can beat this addiction. This book offers a solid, easy to follow, step by step, actionable tools of how to get sugar out of our system and beyond. It has the power to change your relationship with sugar and this will give you the power to change your relationship with your entire life.”
